Top 5 Flour & Spice Recipes from 2017

Happy New Year everyone! I know I am a week or so late, but the kids are back in school today making it the actual start of my new year! Moms, you know what I mean. 

Can I just say I really like even numbers and am glad we have moved over to 2018. Also for some strange reason I concluded that 4 and 8 are my lucky numbers when I was a kid and I see no reason to change my mind. Am rational like that you see. My impeccable logic leads me to believe that 2018 will be a fabulous year. 

The end of 2017 passed in a blur, a viral got the best of me for a few weeks, but I recovered just in time to make it to Chicago for my cousins Nikah. A Nikah is the Muslim marriage ceremony and it was absolutely wonderful to spend a few days spending time with family members I definitely don’t see enough of. This is part one of the festivities and I am looking forward to part deux which is scheduled for April. Thank god because this mama needs to eat less cookies before she gets back into her sari blouses!

What, I ask, is the world coming to?     PS – I made those nutella brownies in 2017 and they were Amazing! And they got rid of the nutella jar that was haunting me day and night super fast 😂

    Love your recipes! I resolve to do more baking in 2018. I love to bake special treats. My family like biscotti, and I think there is a kind of Indian/Pakistani rusk similar to biscotti. Looking for a simple recipe, can you help?
